Butte City (formerly, Butte) is an unincorporated community in Glenn County, California. It is located on the east bank of the Sacramento River 11 miles (18 km) south-east of Willows, at an elevation of 89 feet (27 m). The first post office at Butte City was established in 1883.

What is utilities law?

Public utilities provide electric, gas, water or telephone service to customers in a specified area. Utilities have a duty to provide safe and adequate service on reasonable terms to anyone who lives within the service area on without discriminating between customers. Because most utilities operate in near monopolistic conditions, they can be heavily regulated by local, state, and federal authorities.
